Go Score Foam Hand

By Tyler Lafreniere

$15.00
Packaged and singed edition of 240

The #1 foam hand was designed in 1978 by former high school teacher Geral Fauss.  Since then the foam hand has become a staple of sporting events and the highest selling item of sports memorabilia.

In this piece, artist Tyler Lafreniere has created an edition of this established symbol of sports fandom which removes any association to team or event.   The viewer is left to create their own allegiances with the ambiguously assertive message “GO GO GO SCORE SCORE SCORE”.

About the artist: Tyler Lafreniere is a visual artist originating from Camden, ME.  In 2006, Lafreniere earned is BA in Fine Art from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA.  During his undergraduate studies, he also concentrated on fine art at Goldsmiths University of London.  Lafreniere is a visual artist and Creative Director of Gypse Eyes Magazine.  One of Lafreniere's more recent solo exhibitions opened at Launch F18 (New York) in 2012, and featured at massive installation and recreation of a early 1990's "man cave."  Tyler lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
